During the weeks of Lent each year the churches of Fleetwood hold a Lent Lunch. The Lunch is soup and a roll. The soup is usually home made and there are often a variety of flavours available. The United Reformed Church are helped by the Fleetwood Baptist Church.

Each year there is a donation for the lunch and after expenses the money collected is donated. This year the charity will be Tearfund who work in the all over the world either in emergency situations or ongoing needs. Currently two of their projects involve helping to open or reopen wells in villages in Africa and helping aid reach Gaza.
